This piece is inspired by a design by Ferdinand Barbedienne and stands on three lion’s-paw legs. The black and antique bronze tones complement each other beautifully, with each leg connected to its neighbor by a flat crossbar. The round Venetian Brown marble plaque features a pattern studded with a palette of grays. Founded in 1834, the House of Barbedienne—the most illustrious artistic bronze foundry in France—enjoyed immense international renown for over a century.
