This model is very characteristic of the Louis XVI style, with the symmetry of neo-classicism and some touches of ornaments remaining in the Louis XV style. It is similar to the pair of light arms made for the cabinet of the cassette of Louis XVI in Versailles. A rectilinear cartouche stretched in height, resuming the ancient Doric order, supports a tier of five arched light arms, decorated with foliage at their base. A pine cone and a rocaille plume adorn the ends of the cartouche and offer a breath of fresh air in the face of the neo-classical regularity.
