GIRANDOLE-9

This model of girandole with 9 lights skilfully marries the references to the girandoles of the XVIIIth century (one thinks of the rock crystal series of the Louvre dating from 1750 or the one of 1808 made by Thomire and preserved in the castle of Fontainebleau) to a modern composition.
Nine light arms are arranged on two levels along a central stem adorned with crystal beads and topped by a crystal dagger.
These elements, formed of inverted bronze spirals, are also adorned with daggers at their centers, which echo those on the base.
By omitting the pendants—which appear only on the lower arms—in favor of daggers, the design avoids the excessive ornamentation of 18th-century chandeliers and achieves a lighter look.
