This piece is inspired by a design by Ferdinand Barbedienne and stands on three lion’s paws. The black and antique bronze tones complement each other beautifully, with each leg connected to its neighbor by a flat crossbar. The round plaque of Venetian Brown marble features a constellation-like pattern in a palette of grays. Founded in 1834, the House of Barbedienne, the most illustrious of France’s artistic bronze firms, enjoyed immense international renown for over a century.
