Description

Wall lamp with two light arms, topped with a pretty bow. The Louis XVI style is evident in the arms and base, thanks to various attributes typical of the period, including acanthus leaves, pompons, and numerous flourishes. The quiver features a bouquet of flowers in the center.
Wall lights with flower quivers of the same model, with three arms, can be found in the Imperial Palace of Pavlovsk in Russia, and were clearly among the purchases made by Maria Feodorovna and the future Paul I of Russia during their visit to France under the names of Count and Countess of the North in 1783. Another pair is kept at the Château de Moncley (Doubs).
